Help to bring a smile to the face of a soldier! The aim of this project is to get people of all ages to hand write notes of thanks, appreciation, gratitude or support to our men and women serving in the military. Along with the notes, an individually wrapped lifesaver and shiny penny will be placed in each egg before they are shipped to Iraq or Afghanistan. It is another way to show the men and women serving that America supports them. Anyone wishing to write hand write a note(s) to be placed in an egg can put the hand written notes in an envelope so that we can put them in the eggs. Mail them to us at:: Freeport Flag Ladies We are able to fold 5 X 7inch paper or stationery to fit into the eggs. We ask that children put only their first name and age on the note others may put their entire name and address if they so choose. Please join us in the project so that we might fill many baskets of eggs to be sent. There is no time limit. We will continue to send the eggs as long as we continue receiving the messages. | ||
