Letters from Families & Troops

Hello Ladies,

I would like to wish you all a very Merrry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year. I have written to you once before requesting a photo of my husband on his way to Kuwait/Iraq. Ever since then I receive your emails and read them. I take to heart Elaine's messages. Sometimes they get me thinking and then there are certain ones that seem like they are just for me. But, they are always inspirational as the three of you are. I think you are all wonderful woman for the support you give and because you are always out there. I think that is fantastic! I hope all of you and your families have a wonderful holiday and a blessed new year. Thank you for all your support.

Very Sincerely,

TR

Hello Ladies,

What a lovely poem you wrote. With a son in Afghanistan this Christmas, I especially appreciate your sentiment of Peace. God Bless each of you and your families this wonderful season. We are thanking God for His most wonderful gift of His Son, and are asking Him to keep you, your families, and our son safe this Christmas.

God Bless, AS

Proud Marine Mom

I do appreciate you ladies. A picture of one of you with my son who was leaving for duty to Afghanistan was hung on my wall while he was deployed. It was such a blessing knowing that there were angels like you who saw my son off. My son has since returned physically unharmed, though he lost one of his men and buddy while there. The picture has been removed from the wall but the memory of your thoughtfulness remains.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A grateful Mother L Y

Hello Dear Ladies,

May I wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for your continued support of every mother's son and daughter.

This January I once again send one of my sons to Iraq.  He will be going thru your gates as before.  I trust you to make him feel part of a country that appreciates  his actions along with every other young Marine and Soldier that pass thru your portals.  Do you realize what a symbol you are to these warriors?

Thank you once again for caring for these persons who have come to look to you as a ritual in their comings and goings to battle.

 Peace and love, MP

Proud Marine Mom of two Marines

God bless you all from my family and I to you.  It's been an honour for me to receive Elaine's messages throughout this past year and the year before.  They are inspirational, always, to me.  But to know that you ladies will welcome home our heroes and let those who are going to war know that you care is a huge gift to the troops.  They know they can count on you.  They know that someone out there loves them.  And they are grateful as I know my son was when he met you all in 2005.  And I know you greet the troops every Tuesday no matter what, because you know this too.  Have a Merry Christmas and I pray we have a more peaceful new year to come.  Hugs, D F

We Love You All!

My husband is in 6-9 CAV - your Sunday, Dec. 14th flight, was full of the unit.  One of our FRG Leaders sent us your website and we have forwarded on to everyone we know.  This really was a treat to see.  This is my husband's third deployment in five years!  Any little piece of him we can get is a blessing.  We found a picture of him sleeping and were very thankful - how he needed it!

Thanks! LP

I am a very grateful mom, who was able to enjoy the photos you shared with my dtr. In law. Only a mother or a person who has loved a child could understand what it means to see people like you three ladies care for our children as we would do if we were there. The last I got to talk to my son was right before he left, by phone, even then I knew he was putting on a brave front for me. Only through you beautiful ladies did I get to see his smile. Thank you, MEP

Dear Carmen, Elaine and JoAnn,

Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures you took at Bangor International Airport on December 14, 2008. My children and I got to see my husband and their daddy twice through your pictures. It helps knowing there are people out there like you ladies that care enough to be there for them no matter what the hour of the day is, and that they were taken care of even if only for a hour. Words cannot express enough how I felt when I got the email to go to your website and see the pictures of my husband and his fellow Soldiers. It brought comfort knowing and seeing him that he was ok even though I only saw him a few hours ago. I know his journey has just begun again as this is his second tour and we have been down this road before, but the comfort from the pictures your provided words cannot express. I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart and for supporting our Soldiers. It is much appreciated.

Wife of a Soldier in 6/9 Cav Fort Hood, TX

Good morning, ladies!

I was told about your website from my son, PFC John Groom. I am his mother.  At present, he is in Kuwait, awaiting further movement to northern Iraq.  He was one of many soldiers passing through Bangor International Airport on December 14, 2008.

I would really love to have a copy of a particular photograph you took of him, please … If you would be able to send this photograph to me, I would truly appreciate it!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the kindness you show these men and women in uniform.  I am comforted by the fact that he was treated so kindly before the left the United States.  This photograph would mean the world to me.  May God bless all of you and your organization.  Happy Holidays to all of you!

Sincerely, PG

Dear Carmen, Elaine and JoAnn,

Thank you ladies for all you do.  I have just been introduced to you through my FRG (Family Readiness Group).  Thanks for the pictures of our soldiers as they are in Maine.  I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to see my husband's photo there.  It helps.

You are amazing ladies.

Thanks again! Michele

a proud Army wife from Ft. Hood, Tx

Dear Freeport Flag Ladies,

Thank you so much for your wonderful pictures and greeting the troops. It means so much to me. My husband is an Army Chaplain and it was so nice to be able to see some pictures of him as he passed through. I would like e-mailed some pictures please. … Thank you so very much. What a blessing you are to all of us military families. God Bless you and keep up the great work!

              Blessings, KM

I was wondering if I could please have a copy of 2 pics I saw on your web site.

Thank you so much for meeting them at the airport. I don’t know how they feel but it really is a blessing to know there are truly real people out who do still care about our military men. Thank you so much it really means a lot to me. You have allowed me to see my husband before he had to leave country.  Thank you thank you.

My son arrived in Maine this morning at approximately 5:00 a.m.  He told me you had taken a picture of him while talking to me on the phone.  I was just wondering when these pictures would be posted?  They were from Fort Hood Texas.....

I also would like to say thank you for the support you give all our soldiers.  It helps to know that beings I could not be there to send him off that there were people there that do care about them.  I think this is a wonderful thing you do for them as well as for us parents.  This is one of the hardest things so far in my life that I have had to do.  Again, thank you!  If there is something that I can do to contribute please let me know.

Debbie Pinson, Festus Missouri.

Hello Ladies,

I live on the gulf coast of Florida.  My son was one of the soldier's you greeted at the Bangor Airport on December 4, 2008.  He is on his way to Iraq.  I can't Thank you enough for taking the time to greet our loved ones, either on their way to, or coming home from over seas.  He called me from the airport to explainhow you had given every soldier a bright new penny for good luck, and that you had taken all their pictures to post on your web site.  Since I live in Florida, and he lives in upstate New York, I don't get to see him very often, and have very few pictures of him.  How thrilled I was to see his picture on your web site

God Bless you all for what you do, I can't thank you enough.  I know it meant a lot to him.  Thank you again.

Sincerely,HL

Dear Flag Ladies,

My daughter is a brigade nurse with the US Army 82th Airborne.  On her way to Iraq she passed through Bangor on Thursday Dec 4.  She told me about your pictures and website and I have been anxiously awaiting to see the pictures.  Can you tell me when they will be posted?  Thanks.  And thanks for what you do for our soldiers.  I had never heard of you until Jennifer past through and she told me.  It meant a lot to her also.  She said she felt for a few minutes like a rock star or a politician.  So thanks again and keep up the good work.

Linda

Hello Ladies,

You took some photos of my husband while his unit was heading to Iraq. I wanted to personally thank you for the warm welcome you ladies provide to the troops. I was in the gulf war Desert Storm that's were my husband and I first met he went one way of the desert and I went another. We didn't see each other for about 1 year and when he came back to the states I met up with him and we have been together ever since. We have been married for 17 years on the 5th of December. This is my husbands 2nd tour. Both of our sons were over in Iraq in the army and are back and out of the military. So I guess you can say we are a military family, and so greatly appreciate all that you are doing for our troops and our country. Keep up the great work it means so much to all of us.

Thank You Again,

Sincerely, PM

Dear Flag Ladies,

First I want to thank you so much for all that you do, especially being there for the soldiers and showing your support.  I want to let you know I am dating a soldier that you have taken some pictures of.  He is a wonderful man and I am honored to be a apart of his life and I am so proud of him.  He had accomplished so much and this is his 3rd tour.  In some of the pictures he is with my new brother-in-law.  My twin sister and her husband were just recently married and through them is how I met my amazing boyfriend.

I want to thank you again for all you do.  I live in Chicago IL, and was not able to see my boyfriend Gabe off.  These pictures sure mean a lot to me.  I am so glad there are so many wonderful people like yourselves to help make the soldiers transition to war a little easier.  If there is anything I could do to help your organization please send me some information.  May God bless you all and our troops!

Sincerely AMB

Good morning to all who meet with the troops from the 430th on the morning of Dec 03, 2008. My life and soul was one of those brave soldiers SSG. W. You kindly greeted on that morning, I want to thank you all from not just the bottom of my heart but my whole heart for your kindness. It is so very comforting to me and my family (we have three beautiful girls 8,11,15) that there are people who take there time to support and welcome our soldiers when we can't. This is our first deployment of this length in our 16 years of military service and as I'm sure this goes without asking prayers are always welcome and needed, once again you all will have a special place in my families heart and we will have you also in our prayers.

Once Again Thank You and God Bless, JW

My son just arrived in New Hampshire and from there will go to FOB Sharana, Afghanistan. He told me about your group meeting them upon their arrival and was so very thankful. What a great blessing you are to our troops. I will definitely check back for pictures. But wanted to let you know how much what you do means to them and to those at home also. Thank you all again and God bless you and keep our troops under His protection.

JoAnn - A mom from Maryland

Hello,

I want to take a moment of my time to thank you for the time you spend greeting our troops leaving and returning from deployments to Asia. My son passed through Bangor last April with the Marines, 2/7 on his way to Afghanistan. The picture posted on the site was the last image we had of him to keep us through the long deployment. He returned Saturday Nov. 29 and was warmly greeted by someone from your organization or the Maine troop greeters. God Bless you for your efforts! I can only imagine the impact a smiling face and warm hug or handshake has on a young troop returning home from the devastation of war.

His mother and I appreciate you and your group more than words can express. We eagerly anticipate the posting of the pictures from his units return.

Respectfully, GC

Thank you so much for your love and dedication to our soldiers. My husband had the honor of meeting you when he was on his way to Kosovo and we still treasure the pictures of you and him in Maine. We still think of you all always and say a prayer for you and the work you do.  Thank you for the emails and the poems you send.

Always in our prayers and hearts.T.G.

Dear, dear ladies,

As my family bows our heads around the table this Thursday we are reminded of so much we have to be grateful for.  You ladies will be ever so close to the top of our list.

This is our third thanksgiving with an empty place setting where our son should be. But as he and I discussed a few days ago, next year will be sooo different. He has already placed his "order" for our traditional menu and I will prepare it with so much joy in my heart.

Our corps journey has taken us down a road we have had no control over but feel a strong sense of being blessed by the folks we have met along our way. We believe each one to have been place on our path by a loving and deliberate god.

So as we bow to pray, my heart will go back to august 2007 when you said good-bye to my baby and thanked him in my stead. And now, I thank you all from my heart.  May our lord bless each of you so richly. You too, serve, in a unique way, serving those who choose to serve.

Blessings on each of you and those you all hold dear,

proud parents of: cpl. m. c. 2nd radio bn, serving with so much pride at Camp Ramadi, Iraq

OMG, NOTHING stops Elaine does it?!  She has the heart of a lion with the courage and determination to match.  Thank you so much for sharing this picture which I will treasure and keep reminding me of how much someone will do to let our troops know they support them always, no matter what may come.  I keep Elaine's messages that you send me every single week and I have a couple of folders full now.  I love to look back and take one out to read each day.  Hugs, and many thanks, DF

God bless you all on this Thanksgiving and EVERY day!  You saw my son off to Iraq in August of '07 and sent me his wonderful smiling picture.  It was such a blessing because we had hugged each other good by in Ft. Hood, TX with tears in our eyes.

He returned safely, although he had lost a good friend from the Guard while over in Balad.  His wife and two great kiddos are happy and well in Tyler, TX.  We're all hoping he will not have to return.

Blessing and peace, PH

Freeport Flag Ladies,

My fiancé recently flew through Bangor Airport on his way to Kuwait and I wanted to thank you for being there to see him and his comrades off. With so much antiwar sentiment going around today, it's comforting to know that there are people out there who remember what is really important, supporting our troops. It was also a wonderful feeling to get to see my fiancé one more time through your pictures.

Thank you again and God bless. SP

Hi!  My son called us this morning at 1:00 a.m. and told his sister about meeting y'all at the airport!  Thank you so much for all you do.  My son sure had fun with y'all judging from the story he told and from the grin he is trying to hide in his picture!  And you have raised our spirits by sharing the picture of my son and the pictures of all of the guys.  Seeing them having such a great time with y'all is heartwarming.

I would like to request the picture of my son.   He appears sleeping, but he is definitely hiding a grin!  He was trying to do a reenactment for the camera!

I saw a special on TV about your organization and back then of course never had a clue that someday you would be seeing my son off.

I just can't find the words to thank you enough.

Sincerely, Theresa

Mother of Pvt WT

Thank you, thank you for all you do!!  My son was on the Nov 11th flight from Ft. Riley, Kansas enroute to Afghanistan.  I would love to have the two pictures he is visible in. … I did not get to see him off at the airport and really appreciate the glimpse of him before leaving US soil for a year.

We are so proud of him; he is only 25 and has done very well.  Graduated from The Citadel in three years instead of four, made it through Ranger School on first try...a very hard worker.  Two years ago, six weeks after he got back from Korea, he bought a motorcycle and had a near fatal accident that smashed both legs, broke shoulder, concussion, mild TBI, transient blindness, life support for a week...He is a miracle of God's Healing in our time.  You can guess as mom I grit my teeth over his career choice but am so thankful he is able to perform his duties...to see him with some of his men… he is one of the training team commanders...it met so much.  Thank you again for all you do.  SP

Dear Ladies,

Thanks again for all you dedication and love for our country and to our servicemen and women.  Both my boys are still in combat and whenever I feel sad, I open up your site, look at Troops at Pease, and look for my son (Wilson).  It gives me great peace.
Thanks for the love that you all showed him as he went away (4th time) to Afghanistan.  Although he was wounded recently, he has returned to the fight and with his men to carry on what needs to be done to keep this land that we so love free.

Thanks again, BB

Hi Freeport Flag Ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy receiving and reading your emails.  Johnny and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.  Johnny liked the picture you took of him and he was glad that I was able to get a copy of it from you.  I had Wal-Mart develop the picture for Veterans Day and they posted in their store window.  Johnny is now home for his 15-day pass; he will be home for Thanksgiving so we will be going to NJ to spend it with my dad.  He has to leave to go back to Iraq on December 1st.

Thank you so much for all that you do for the men and women who have been deployed and are continuing to be deployed to Iraq.

With loving thoughts, MAM

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My son just left for his first deployment. He is in Afghanistan. I want to thank you for being there to support him and his company as they left. Also I want to thank you for the pictures. It was good to see him again.

God bless you!! TB

Thank you for all that you do for our troops!!   I was given your link by a member of my Marine Parents support group because we have loved ones that were in Bangor on Nov 12th.   I was able to see my brother in several pictures and it certainly brought a smile to my face.

I wanted to pass on my appreciation!    You ladies are a real treasure!

I am passing on your site to our entire support group.   Wishing you all well.

 C.H.

God Bless each of you! As you know, we are all so eager to see/hear from our brave military. Our son went through your caring arms on Nov 12. The smiles on your face tell it all. I believe you care for them very much and I appreciate that. I know you were up late that night, probable like many other nights. You took some wonderful pictures of your son. I am so thankful for those, he looked good. I sent off a note and donation a few days ago in gratitude for what you do. Keep up the good work, Lord willing.

Again, thank you, and God bless your effort. AS

Hello!

Thank you for your efforts, ladies!   My son, Ben is a US Marine, and I found him on your website!  It really brought us a bit of calmness in all the emotions that are running amok through me at this time!

Would you please send me my son's image?

Thanks so much ladies..... :)

You are all angels.....

Sincerely, Jan

Dear Freeportflagladies,

Words cannot adequately express my appreciation for your organization and the dedication of your members.  My son was one of the Marines you so graciously made feel so welcome this past Wednesday morning at about 1:00.  One would never have guessed from the smiles on your faces that it was 1 AM!!  I am a teacher at a local community college and Friday I used your organization as an example for my students of doing things for other people out of care and concern - no personal gain other than the satisfaction it brings.  So your example is reaching more people than you could imagine!  My son, Aaron, is in several of the photos.  He is the young man standing with 2 of yo..  That picture is now my background on my computer screen.  Seeing him brought tears to my eyes, but the smile on his face was reassuring. I'm sure you know Afghanistan was their destination for at least 7 months.  With such uncertainty hanging over their heads, it was a comfort to me to know that he (and his buddies) had been treated so kindly as they were leaving our country.  Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Please know that what you are doing means more than we can ever express to the families of these Marines and soldiers that we love so much.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Carmen, Elaine & JoAnn,

What can we say but WOW!

On behalf of the Tampa Area Marine Parents Association here in Florida we would like to thank you very much for the awesome job you are doing and your incredible display of patriotism.

Several members of our support group were thrilled to be able to see pictures of their sons who have just recently departed with 3rd Bn. 8th Marines from Camp Lejeune.

I can't tell you how much it meant to me personally as 3/8 holds a very special place in my heart.  My son served with 3/8 during his enlistment in the Marine Corps.  During his 3rd deployment his 2 best friends/roommates were KIA in and IED attack in Ramadi on April 2, 2006.  Just two weeks after that my son was injured when a RPG hit his post as he manned his machine gun.  Adam went through several operations to repair the damage to his hand and face and spent 18 months rehabilitating at the wounded warriors East at Camp Lejeune. He was medically discharged from the Corps last November and returned home to us. He continues to deal with the emotional scars and trauma of his injury and the loss of his buddies, but we have learned to deal with things one day at a time and continue to believe that God spared our son for a bigger reason.  So, my 3/8 family is ever so special to us and to be able to see those pictures was priceless.

Thank you again for all that you do in support of our troops and our nation

All of the pictures are great!

My son is in the Marine Corps (3/8 unit) and left with the advance party on Oct. 14th. I guess he did not stop over there, I know he was in Iceland for a brief period; however I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all you are doing, seeing a photograph of a loved one while getting ready to leave our country to defend our freedom gives me chills and tremendous pride.

You captured some great moments of these guys from his unit that left this past week, (November 12th).

Thank you again for what you do

Hi first of all I would love to thank you for all you do.  When my husband told me about your e-mail address of course I ran to the computer right away.  Just being able to see he’s face before he left the states made my day……..you have made my day. I’m sending hugs and kisses to you the Flag Ladies.

Dear Flag Ladies,

My nephew was one of the men you sent off -November 11, 2008.  Charles Clifford.  Just let me tell you -from our entire family how much we appreciate what you are doing.  You are a gift from God.  Charles had grandparents who were Patriotic Instructors and Chaplains for many years during the Viet Nam War, at the Local VFW back in Michigan, I wish they were here now (passed away) to see the service that you are giving to our men -that are fighting to keep our USA FREE  !!!   THANK YOU -  THANK YOU -THANK YOU !!!!!!!

YOUR HEARTS MUST BE SO FULL- YOU ARE ALL ANGELS!!!  GOD BLESS YOU !

WE LOVE YOU ALL.

JS

You have truly encouraged us, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are so right--it was good medicine to see our son talking and smiling. The guys all looked tired or sleepy, but otherwise content. That was a much better memory than the seriousness of their actual deployment from base. I hadn't thought about it, but now when I think of our son, I see his smile, and that makes me smile.

Thank you again, and may God bless you all richly for your kindness and dedication.

Love, hugs, and prayers,

Joan

Dear Freeport Flag Ladies:

Thank you so much for what you do for our troops.  I saw the pictures of my son and it warmed my heart.  My son Nate called and told me, "Mom, I am in my favorite state in the United States, Maine".

The people of Maine not only have a beautiful State but also beautiful hearts.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to have a piece of my sons journey to Afghanistan.  God Bless each and every one of you.  I intend to come to Maine and meet the wonderful Flag Ladies.

Sincerely, DG

Proud Mother of Lcpl. NJG, USMC

My husband is one of the marines you greeted in Bangor on the 12th.  This is our second deployment to Afghanistan and, not surprisingly, they really don't get easier.  I received the link to your pictures from my key volunteer in the wives association.  You will truly never know how much we appreciate what you do or how much it meant to me to see a picture of my husband.  The littlest things can mean so much to a military wife and knowing that someone, anyone, was at the airport to greet my husband and thank him for his service brings tears to my eyes.  Thank you so much!!!

CW

Ladies,

First, thank you SOOOOO much for this site. I was just absolutely blown away at how many times I saw my husband’s happy face on your site today. It connected me, for just a few moments longer, and for that I am eternally grateful.  He left on my 34th week of pregnancy, and I am now awaiting the birth of his first (and only) child, without him here to hold my hand. So, you can imagine – those pictures were a Godsend today.

Thank you, again. SOOO wonderful to see him, again.

-Megan, *proud* wife of SSGT CM

Dear Freeport Flag Ladies,

Thank you for all that you do!!! My fiancé is part of 3/8, and it brought me such joy to see their smiles and your outpouring of kindness. I would love a copy of a picture you snapped of my fiancé. …I can't thank you enough.

Sincerely, PD

Good Morning,

I cannot thank you all enough for taking these pictures of our soldiers and keeping them in good spirits for us.  You did more than just take a picture of my husband for me, you captured a moment in his life that is priceless.  I truly appreciate all of your efforts made to each family in this difficult time.  May God continue to bless us all and this glorious country!

Sincerely, SH

I want to thank you with all my heart. This has made my day. Although I did not see my Marine's picture specifically, I don't know why, because he is the best looking Marine there is, it was wonderful seeing all of them again.

Thank you for what you are doing as an organization for our servicemen.

I have visited this airport a few times on my way to visit my Grandmother in Millinocket.

You ladies are the best !!!!!!!

Marine Mom, Kim

Dear Freeport Flag Ladies,

Thank you SO much for meeting/greeting and taking photos of the Marines on 11/12. Our son was in three of the photos, and as we weren't able to see him off from Camp Lejeune, it was a wonderful blessing to see him in your photos. Another Marine family member alerted us that you had posted photos, and we are SO thankful for your kindness to our Marines and to us.

Blessings to you all, and again, heartfelt thanks for your kindness to our Marines,

I am moved to tears with your, so so kind words and your prayers and your efforts.  It is so moving to know that you ladies are putting actions where most people's words are.  You said it absolutely correct below when you spoke of departing with tears. My husband will have this wonderful picture to add to his archives too.  God bless every one of you for the indescribable gift that you are giving to many, many families.

Hello to all three of you, Freeport Flag Ladies! First of all, I want to thank you for what you are doing! I want you to know that it meant a lot when I was talking to my husband on the free cell phone when he gave me your website saying that there would be a picture of him talking to me! Keep up the great work! Y'all are doing wonderful things for our troops and their families! That being said, I found the picture my husband was talking about and one other that I think may be him!

Again, thank you all for what you are doing! Please continue to be wonderful morale boosters for the men and women that are serving this country! May God bless you three, along with anyone else you may be affiliated, and the work that you all do!

Many thanks, GW

Ladies,

Many thanks for your kindness in greeting the Marines that arrived at 1AM November 12, 2008.  In the pictures your smiles, hugs and handshakes showed you are truly ladies that appreciate what our troops are doing for the USA.  Jewels are in your crowns!  Thanks from the family.

In Christian Love, JB

Hey there Ladies,

I was in hopes of getting a couple of pictures that you took of Soldiers at Pease. My husband was in that unit and as I looked at the pictures I became over whelmed. I miss him sooo very much. We had only been married 4 months when he had to leave, and it has taken a real toll on me and my kids. It would be great for them to see these pictures and put them in their rooms, so that they can see him everyday.

Hello,

First off I would love to thank you for your love and support for our troops. I have been so impressed with the selfless things that you and your group do. And thank you for sharing it all with us. Our son SPC Jason Hein was one of the troops that you saw off on Oct.22 in Bangor. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and your deeds of goodwill. He was speaking to us on the phone when you snapped his picture and he was telling us how nice you were to all of them. He was very impressed with the kindness, he said it made him feel special! And of course we told him he was special!...LOL. Could you please send us a copy of the picture? I will forward this picture on to the rest of the family. His wife and children will enjoy it also.

Again Thank You from the Bottom of my Heart!

Thank you so much for all that you do for our troops. You have no idea how it makes them feel. He talked about the reception that you all gave them for days. It is wonderful how a small amount of kindness can make someone feel so good! Thank you for supporting us and the great work that they do in the name of freedom.

God bless you, KH

I just want to thank each of you for the special service you provide for the troops. These pictures mean so much to the families. This is our first experience with deployment so being able to catch a glimpse of my husband and the men and women he serves with as they make their journey makes us feel as if we are there too. I'm listing a few pictures I would love to have if it's no trouble. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

Sincerely,LM (wife of MSG. AM, Oklahoma 45th Fires Brigade)

Hello!!  I just wanted to thank you for all that you do for the soldiers.  My husband was in Maine yesterday on his way to Kuwait.  He told me about the pennies and about your website.  I found 2 photos of my husband and when I saw them I couldn't help but to cry.  This is our first deployment and we are still newlyweds and this has been extremely hard on the both of us.  But knowing that there are people out there that care as much as the families do makes things even better.  I know my husband really appreciated it and his fellow soldiers also.  Thanks again to all of you for making the time and showing your support to each and every solider that you come across.

I was hoping that you could email me the photos that show my husband. …  If I could get those two photos I would greatly appreciate it and it would mean so much to me.  Thank you again for all that you do.

From an army wife, TM

Hello, my name is Teresa and I am the wife of SSG.,R You can't miss him.....a handsome Hawaiian man, and I would love an email of his picture. I thank you so much! I would also like to say that I think what your group does is so wonderful and giving! I was on the phone with him at the time the picture was taken and he was telling me about the greeting the soldiers got getting off the plane. This made him feel so good and I can't thank you all enough! This means so much to them and to myself to know that there are people who care like this, to give their days to show support. Seeing him put such a big smile on my face and I am very thankful to you all who made that possible. I miss him so much and he is leaving again for another tour but I feel so warm and grateful inside to know that their are special people like yourselves to give them a boost of

support and to let me see his wonderful smile again. Thank you. Truly,

TR

Thank you for sending our troops out with honor. My husband was with the Army unit you sent off on October 14 from Washington National Guard. I was elated to see his picture on your site and to see the smiles you put on their faces. Thank you for giving them the send off we weren't able to from home. You really do make a difference! Keep it up!

Thank you, JN

Hi.  I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for your support of our troops.  My brother was one of the men who came through Bangor, Maine on October 22nd headed for Iraq.  To be there to say “thank you” and show your support I know meant a lot to him and I’m sure all the men who were with him.  So thank you and God Bless.

Heather

Dear Ladies,

Thank you so much for the pictures of my son.  He recently deployed and although I knew there are people to send him off at the airports, I had never heard of you all until now.  The pictures and video are awesome.  Thank you sooo much for caring about my son as well as all of the other men and women who stand ready to keep America safe.

For all you have done and are doing, I thank you,

A Marine Mom
